“Being a chartered accountant I have attended almost every other so called "tax shelter to aid a charitable organization" ranging from buying comic books to help the poor in Third World countries learn to read, to buying costly works of art or CD's to help the poor learn to become computer-literate I quickly realized that it was just another one of those scams that Revenue Canada would consider to be fraud and reassess everyone's tax returns, which of course has occurred. However, when Darren sent me an e-mail about another tax shelter I thought, well knowing Darren, this one will fly past Revenue Canada and if, knowing Darren, he'll be sure to let us in on it so that we can also make some really easy money. Nevertheless, I was not surprised and thought anyone would be crazy to not buy at least one of these units each year. Sure enough, Darren announced his Ambassador program. Still, I hadn't done my own final due diligence to satisfy myself that the lawyers hadn't covered off every single attempt by Revenue Canada, except for possibly fraud, which I thought the odds of Revenue Canada being successful would probably be very minor. This past Friday, as I was close to COIP's offices, I dropped in to read the legal opinion. I soon realized that, after struggling to read the contract, it was best if I just read the highlighted opinion paragraphs. Needless to say, I quickly left their offices knowing that any of Revenue Canada's attempts to consider it to be fraud would fail." Needless to say I quickly purchased a unit of COIP.”
